Lake Forest College is a private liberal arts college in Lake Forest, Illinois. Founded in 1857 as Lind University by a group of Presbyterian ministers, the college has been coeducational since 1876 and an undergraduate-focused liberal arts institution since 1903.

Forester lacrosse players have now earned 28 all-conference honors, including a dozen first team selections, in the last three seasons and Dodson was named MLC Coach of the Year twice (2022, 2023). Murphy, Gaston, Casey, and Tartaglione were also among the 16 Foresters named to the 2024 MLC All-Academic Team and Lake Forest has had 35 such selections in Dodson's three years as head coach.

Phil Dodson- LFC Head Coach

The 2025 season will be Phil Dodson's fourth as head coach of the Foresters, 14th as a coach at the collegiate level, and seventh at the helm of an NCAA program.
Under Dodson's direction, the Foresters posted the program's best overall record at 16-3 and won all four of their Midwest Lacrosse Conference games to repeat as conference champions. A 20-1 victory over Cornell College and 11-4 triumph of the University of Dubuque in the MLC Tournament gave Lake Forest a second straight berth in the NCAA Division III Tournament, where they defeated Transylvania University 12-10 in the opening round.Conor Murphy ranked 21st in the nation with 2.68 caused turnovers per game and was named MLC Co-Defensive Player of the Year in 2024. He was joined by teammates Trip Gaston, Jack Gillard, Brendan Herbert, Connor Tartaglione, Andrew Widlar, and MLC Rookie of the Year Macklin Thomas as First Team All-MLC players. Five other Foresters were named to the second team. John Casey, the program's career leader with 96 goals and 131 points, was named MLC Tournament MVP after scoring six goals and assisting on five during the two rounds of the league's postseason.
